Entry Level Accountant Trainee, will receive training and eventually be competent in managing accounts payable, payroll, and inventory.

Prior Experience:

  • Associate's degree in accounting minimum in any relevant field. No prior work experience required with minimum 2 years of college experience.

Immediate Supervisor: Bev Thomas

Education Preferred:

  • Minimum one year of higher education. Associate's degree in accounting, BS/BA in relevant field preferred.

Wage Type:

  • Hourly


  • Flexible to tailor to your school schedule. Our business is open 8-6 Monday-Friday, 9-4 Saturday. We have capacity to take on at least one full-time employee in our accounting department. You may work full-time or part-time as your schedule permits.


  • We can work around your schedule for personal, family, or school needs.

We operate quarries in several intermountain states including Utah, Idaho, and Arizona. The company is experiencing excellent growth in sales and is looking for an accountant or accounting clerk to add to our headquarters team in the Salt Lake City office.

Software Knowledge:

  • Basic Knowledge in Microsoft Excel. A prior course in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to do occasional physically demanding labor helping to load customers.

  • After a training period, you'll be competent in most or all aspects of our accounting:  accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory.
  • Answer phones as needed.


  • Communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a busy office, with tight deadlines. But note, this is an entry level position with training.
  • High level of organizational skills.
  • Minimum proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
  • As we are in the business of providing extraordinary experiences to our customers, both internal and external, the successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
